Corrections Policy
Aktualisiert:
Why this page exists
A review platform's value depends on being right. When we are wrong — a factual error in a profile, a stale licence status, a miscalculated score, a moderation mistake — we correct it visibly and quickly. This page tells you how to report an error, what we will do, and by when.
What counts as a correction
- Factual errors in profiles or editorial content — wrong address, wrong company name, wrong licence status, misattributed information, outdated legal descriptions.
- Data and calculation errors — a rating or Trust Score that does not match the published methodology given the underlying data, reviews attached to the wrong provider, duplicate profiles.
- Moderation errors — a review published that violates the review policy, or one rejected that should not have been.
- Labelling errors — a sponsored placement missing its label, a verification badge displayed without a current verification behind it.
Not corrections: disagreement with a reviewer's opinion (use the right of reply via a claimed profile), disagreement with the methodology itself (feedback is welcome, but methodology changes follow the process on the ranking pages), or requests to remove accurate but unwelcome information.
How to report
Email contact@panamarealestatereviews.com with subject "Correction", identifying:
- the exact page (URL) and the specific statement or figure;
- what you believe is wrong;
- evidence where applicable — for licence or registration facts, documentary evidence per the verification policy.
Anyone may report: consumers, listed businesses, or third parties. Businesses do not need a claimed profile to report a factual error, though claiming is required to respond to reviews.
What we do, and by when
- Acknowledgement within 3 business days of receipt.
- Decision within 10 business days for straightforward factual issues. Issues requiring documentary verification or legal assessment may take longer; if so, we say so and give a revised estimate.
- Interim step for serious errors: where an error is credible and materially damaging (for example, a licence wrongly reported as unverified, or reviews attached to the wrong business), we may flag the disputed item as "under review" on the page while we investigate.
How corrections are made
- Material corrections are visible. When we correct an error that could have misled readers, the page carries a dated correction note stating what was wrong and what changed. We do not silently rewrite materially wrong content.
- Minor fixes — typos, formatting, broken links — are made without a note.
- Score recalculations happen automatically when underlying data is corrected. We never hand-adjust a rating or Trust Score; we fix the data and let the published formula produce the corrected number, identically for every provider.
- Syndicated errors: if incorrect information from our platform appeared in our own downstream channels (e.g. structured data, newsletters), we correct those too.
If you disagree with our decision
Reply to the decision email with any new evidence; a different reviewer than the original decision-maker examines the appeal and answers within 10 business days. The full escalation path, including for legal representatives, is on the contact page. Nothing in this process limits any legal rights you may have under Panamanian law.
Record
We keep an internal log of all correction requests, decisions, and grounds, so our error patterns can be audited and recurring failure modes fixed at the source — in the data pipeline or the process, not just on the page reported.
