Advertising Policy

The one rule everything else follows from
Money never touches ratings, Trust Scores, reviews, or organic rankings. Every commercial product we sell is built so that it cannot influence them, and this page states exactly what is for sale and what is not.
What we sell
- Sponsored placements. A provider may pay for a placement in designated slots — for example above or beside organic listings. Every sponsored placement is visibly labelled "Sponsored" at all times, on every device, with no exceptions and no designs that blur the label into organic results. The provider's real rating and Trust Score are shown on the sponsored unit unchanged.
- Lead generation. Where a user explicitly asks to be contacted by a provider, we may pass that enquiry to the provider, in some cases for a fee. Consent and data handling are covered in the privacy policy. Whether a provider pays for leads has no effect on their scores or position in organic listings.
What is not for sale — at any price
- Removal, suppression, hiding, reordering, or de-weighting of any review.
- Any change to a star rating, Trust Score, or Trust Score component.
- Position in organic rankings or inclusion in editorial guides and comparisons.
- Verification badges. Badges are earned exclusively through the documentary process in the verification policy; there is no paid path and no expedited paid tier that changes the outcome.
- Softer moderation. Advertisers' reviews, responses, and flags pass exactly the same moderation as everyone else's.
- Advance notice of, or influence over, editorial coverage.
We do not negotiate exceptions to this list, and we log approaches that ask for them — including approaches via "reputation management" intermediaries.
Separation of functions
Advertising sales are operationally separated from moderation, verification, and editorial decisions. The people and systems that compute scores and moderate reviews have no visibility into who is a paying customer when making those decisions, and advertisers get no contact channel into moderation or editorial.
Who may advertise
- Advertisers must be listed providers or businesses relevant to Panamanian real estate (e.g. legal, relocation, or financial services), and must comply with our platform policies.
- A provider under an active moderation penalty for fake reviews or forged documents may not purchase placements until the penalty is resolved. We do not sell visibility to businesses we are simultaneously sanctioning for deceiving consumers.
- Ads must be truthful. We reject creative containing claims we know to be false, unverifiable superlatives presented as fact, or imitation of our own verification badges and labels.
What advertising does not change for users
- Organic listings are ordered by the published methodology (agencies, brokers) and are identical whether or not any provider on the page advertises.
- Reviews display in the same order and completeness on advertisers' and non-advertisers' profiles.
- A provider who stops advertising loses nothing except the sponsored slots: no score change, no ranking change, no review change.
Disclosure
- The "Sponsored" label appears on the placement itself, not only on a policy page.
- This page publicly discloses our revenue model. If we introduce a new commercial product, this page is updated before the product launches, and the product is designed under the same one rule stated at the top.
Reporting a violation
If you see a sponsored unit without a label, an organic result you believe was influenced by payment, or any solicitation implying scores can be bought, report it to contact@panamarealestatereviews.com. Such reports are treated as corrections-level issues with the timelines in the corrections policy.
